"I recently held my daughters wedding at The Rivers Retreat in Covington, La. We were able to spend four days prior to the ceremony enjoying the beautiful property. It gave us ample time to decorate as well as having access to the cabins in which the bridal party and grooms party were able to enjoy. The dining hall is beautiful and we had access to a top notch kitchen where the caterer had access to several days before the event. We were also able to have rehearsal dinner there as well. It’s a wonderful place for big events. It has a gorgeous enclosed pavilion with a beautiful brick fireplace that was used as a focal point for the ceremony. MAKING YOUR EVENT STAND OUT
This sprawling historic retreat offers 10 beautifully appointed cottages that can accommodate 50 overnight guests. There is a very large, beautiful meeting room as well as an enormous banquet hall with a well stocked commercial kitchen, compete with all linens, tableware, and stemware. The covered, screened pavilion is enormous, and is the perfect place for a wedding ceremony, reception, or conference. Guests absolutely love to stretch out on the 13 acres and explore the neatly manicured grounds. The river is easily accessible and is usually the right depth for wading, swimming, kayaking and canoeing. In the hot summer months, the massive pool provides a welcome oasis, while tennis and basketball is always available. The Rivers Retreat provides the perfect, breathtaking venue for your memorable event!
